Year 6 Excursion to Parliament House

Year Six students enjoyed an excursion to Queensland's Parliament House where they gained a great understanding of what happens in parliament. It was interesting to walk around the different wings of this great historical building. Next was the Sparklab Science Centre where they made inventions and experiented with the spinning chair.  There was an 80 kg fridge that was held with a long piece of metal.  If you pulled it from the very end it was easy to lift and if you pulled from the front, it was really hard to lift.   Students also learned about how electricity flows through conductive materials and tested new inventions.
