School Covenant

A school covenant may be defined as a solemn agreement between members of the school community to act together in harmony and accordance with gospel values.

The St Edward's Primary School covenant is based on respect and care for:

Self

Others

Our School

Our Learning

The teaching of expected behaviour forms part of our curriculum. Positive behaviour is celebrated and the consequences for inappropriate behaviour reflect a restorative justice model.

At the beginning of each year, students work with their teacher to form a Class Covenant. This generally reflects the theme for the school year (e.g. Together We Grow). The class covenant is continually referred to and revised throughout the year.
